On behalf of the staff, I extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to A.J. Charbonneau Public School! Whether you are a long-standing member of our school family or new to our community, we look forward to an exciting year of learning and growth together.
A.J. Charbonneau Public School is a kindergarten to grade 8 elementary school with bilingual kindergarten and the option of French Immersion for grades 1-6 in the 2025-2026 school year, expanding to grade 7 next year.
Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a safe, challenging, and supportive learning environment where academic excellence and character development go hand-in-hand. Our students enjoy a variety of sports teams, intramural sports, and clubs throughout the school year. Our classrooms are technology enabled learning environments, where students have access to a variety of digital tools to support their learning.
We focus on:
- Academic Rigour: Ensuring strong literacy and numeracy foundations, and encouraging critical thinking and collaboration across the grades.
- Fostering Belonging: Intentionally creating welcoming spaces and inclusive practices where diversity is celebrated, and differences are understood and valued.
- Prioritizing Well-being: Dedicating time and resources to support the social, emotional, and physical health of every student, building resilience and independence.
